October 20-26, 2014 is Cervical Cancer Awareness Week Northeast Cancer Center is encouraging regular cervical cancer screening

It is Cervical Cancer Awareness Week in Canada and the Northeast Cancer Centre (NECC) of Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN) is asking all women to make sure they’re up to date with their Pap test.  This year, the NECC is especially encouraging women between the ages of 60 and 69 to get screened for cervical cancer, given their rates of screening are declining.
