A Sudbury cancer diagnostics company has been chosen for a new pilot project for emerging health-care technologies in Ontario.
Rna Diagnostics, Inc. is one of three companies selected for the MaRS Excellence in Clinical Innovation and Technology Evaluation (EXCITE) project.
The goal of EXCITE is to get new, innovative medical technologies to market faster to improve patient care and outcomes.

Rogers Radio in Sudbury wants to fill that bed with pennies.
Q92 is hosting “Pennies In A Pickup”, the final event in the Pennies for Pediatrics campaign for children’s care at Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord.
On Friday, May 31st, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Q92 will encourage its listeners and all of Sudbury to bring their pennies and other spare change to the Q92 studios on Lasalle Boulevard and fill the bed of a pickup truck. All proceeds will go toward the Pennies For Pediatrics campaign. Eastlink Channel 10 will also be broadcasting live at the Pennies In A Pickup event.

If you saw a co-worker being subjected to sexual harassment, how would you respond? What if a friend e-mailed a sexually inappropriate picture of another person?
The Voices For Women – Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre and four local restaurants have partnered on a unique way to help people deal with these difficult situations.
On Wednesday, May 29th, patrons at Casey’s Grill Bar, Gloria’s Restaurant, Jak’s Diner, and Korner Kaffee will notice special placemats under their meals. The placemats describe various scenarios of sexual assault and harassment, and offer advice on how bystanders can help.

Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN) is inviting the public to attend a free Summit on Seniors Health Care.
The Summit, “Designing A More Seniors Friendly Health Care System” is being held Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Steelworkers Hall on Brady Street.
The Summit begins at 2:00 p.m. with a Seniors Fair featuring information/vendor booths about the various programs and services available to seniors at HSN and in the community.
