Genetic Counselling Services

Who We Are

The Genetic Counselling Services at the Sudbury Outpatient Centre of Health Sciences North offers a wide variety of clinical and testing services for individuals and families with genetic concerns. We see about 700 new patients each year from Sudbury and the surrounding area. We are one of the five outreach clinics that make up the Northern Regional Genetics Program (NRGP) offering genetic services to the people of Northern Ontario.

What is Genetic Counselling?

Genetic counselling gives you current information and guidance about growth, developmental, learning and health problems that have a genetic cause. This can help you understand and deal with the diagnosis of a genetic condition.

For more information, please read our patient pamphlet.

Talk to your doctor (or other health care provider) about a referral to the Genetic Counselling Services at the Sudbury Outpatient Centre of Health Sciences North.
